HI, I’m Ben.

I bring experience in higher ed leadership, ccommunciation, and strategic planning.

I've worn a lot of hats- and each one shaped the work I do today.

My career has been built at the intersection of strategy, communication, and design. I’ve led systemwide strategic planning at Washington State University, taught communication and media courses for over a decade, and developed creative solutions for clients through my own studio. Each role has given me the chance to connect vision to execution and deliver results that matter.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

  • Led WSU’s systemwide strategic planning process. Built strategic planning processes, created communication campaigns, and reporting dashboards used across six campuses.

  • Created communications to support WSU’s system strategic plan. Produced videos, social media ads, websites, and storytelling projects that built awareness and buy-in for the university’s vision and mission.

  • Taught communication and design for 10 years. Courses included graphic design, advertising, public speaking, social media, and multimedia content creation.

  • Founded Firelight Creative Co. Provided communication, design, and web solutions for nonprofits, small businesses, and entrepreneurs.
