Scope:At WSU, we needed to ensure that strategic planning wasn’t happening in silos. My work centered on creating alignment across system, campus, and unit levels, with the system plan as the foundation.
Working closely with the Board of Regents, I helped shape the Integrated Planning Framework, which outlined how strategic priorities flowed through the entire institution. This framework was still in progress when our office closed, but it laid important groundwork for consistent, connected planning.
We also worked closely with leadership across the system to develop the Standards for Strategic Planning and Alignment. This document guided strategic planning activities to ensure consistency in how plans were developed.
